25 Perfectly-Hilarious Excuses for WHY You Got Divorced

Whether it's a nosy neighbor or your delightful Ex-mother-in-law, people are gonna ask...
And now YOU will have the perfect answer!

In Today's Episode:

Divorce coach, Jennifer Connor, discusses something you all are guilty of doing, but the good news is - we can stop doing it today!

The expectation of total happiness all the time is a completely unrealistic expectation.  So stop expecting to always be happy. This expectation, is actually creating unhappiness in your life.  We need the negative to provide contrast for the positive, so we know what truly positive emotions are.

The gift of humanity is the ability to feel every emotion fully, and knowing that you’re 100% allowed to feel that emotion and continue on.  Don’t fight it, don’t resist it, just feel it.

Episode Quotes:

I am saying that if you take that, information you can actually get a lot from it. A lot of us are under the impression that the goal of life is to be happy all of the time. That total happiness is the goal of human life, and it's really that expectation of happiness. That's actually setting us all up to feel even worse.

Here's the thing I can't prevent you from feeling negative emotions, and I actually wouldn't ever want to prevent you from feeling negative emotions. You want to feel negatively when something negative happens when someone dies, I imagine you want to feel sad about it.

We need the negative. It provides the contrast so that we know what the positive feels like. It's part of our human experience. It makes us human.

When we are expecting that we shouldn't feel a negative emotion; that right there just causes a resistance right away. And that can cause even more crappy negative emotions on top of it. So when you accept the fact that negative emotions are just part of human life you can allow yourself to truly heal by processing all of those emotions allowing them.

I want you to know that whatever negative emotion you're feeling you can feel it. Process it allow it and know that nothing has gone wrong that you are totally fine. Nothing's wrong with you nothing's wrong with a situation nothing's wrong with the world. You are fully entitled and expected.

I'm Jennifer Connor, and I'm on a mission to help divorced women stop looking back and start living their own damn lives!

When I went through my own divorce, I discovered that the "help" that was out there was either very heavily based on dragging up the past OR slapping a positive affirmation on top of every shitty thought.

Uh, no thank you. Hard pass.

I knew there had to be a better way:

A way for people like me - driven, high-achieving women who were ready to conquer this "divorce thing" once and for all - to stop focusing on the past and start building a genuinely fun, incredible life NOW. A way for us to heal and move on without freaking CRYING every single day.

Heck, throw in some laughs, and you've got me totally sold!

That's when I discovered a method that did ALL of that.

And the rest was magic. (like, Hermione magic, not crappy Ron magic)

Today, everything I do is with the sole purpose of helping other women use my coaching method and tools to create a life and future they LOVE.

If you're ready to capture some of this magic for yourself, hit me up!

Women are moving on and upgrading their lives every day. It's YOUR turn now.

Episode Homework:

Today’s homework is allowing yourself to feel those negative emotions rather than resist. Prepare your mind that life is going to throw you curve balls, but when we expect them to happen rather than resist it; it will be that much easier to overcome.
