In this episode, I explain the four layers of physical hunger AND the four layers of emotional hunger so you can best assess when to eat and when to process emotions.
The four layers are: Idle, Inconvenient, Uncomfortable and Urgent.
When you are experiencing physical hunger, it is ideal to eat when you are in the Inconvenient and/or Uncomfortable Layers.
When you are experiencing emotional hunger, it is best not to eat at all.
I introduce one of my favorite "tricks" - a question you can ask yourself that will help you determine if your hunger is physical or emotional.
Pay attention to your physical hunger cues, and assign these cues to the four layers.
